The Michigan Lighthouse Conservancy (MLC) is here to provide restoration and preservation for the Muskegon Lights for educational and public enjoyment. Our overall mission covers other lighthouses and US Life-Saving Service structures and their artifacts and we educate the general public on the many facets of lighthouses and Coast Guard related topics. We never want to see a structure fall into disrepair and this is how you can help.

Membership Programs
Membership levels are meant to meet your financial needs. Your planned giving is deeply appreciated and a crucial part of the longevity of this organization and our preservation efforts. Many members join simply as a desire to support our mission, but others come to be a Lighthouse Keeper in Muskegon and open the light for visitors, yet others want to do maintenance or provide other services that are needed for the lights, whatever your skill, please contact us to see how we can help preserve the lights together. Annual Unlimited Pass for one. Unlimited MLC Volunteer opportunities.

One-Time or Monthly Donations
One-time donations are important to keeping the MLC prospering! Monthly donations help give the MLC a solid base of dependable income, which enables us to plan our preservation goals for the year with confidence. Convenient monthly giving also enables you to make your donation in easy-to-manage amounts. The MLC will send you one tax receipt for the total amount of your donation for the year.
By giving a monthly donation, you are providing essential funding for the organizational initiatives that have been identified as needing the most support. This is a great way for you to support the mission of the MLC.
In Memoriam or In Honor of…
To honor a friend or relative who has passed or to honor someone you admire today, why not pay tribute to them through an In Memoriam or an In Honor Of gift donation.
We will send a special notification to each of your chosen recipients to let them know of your generosity. To make a donation in memory of or in honor of someone, please fill out the requested information below, print and mail in the form. Please be prepared to provide the names and addresses for anyone you'd like to be notified about your gift, as well as the name of the person being honored.
This is a great way to honor someone special with your support of the MLC mission! You don’t have to be a member to honor someone. If you want your gift to remain anonymous, you can do that to!
Matching Gifts
You can support the mission of The Michigan Lighthouse Conservancy where you work by donating to The Michigan Lighthouse Conservancy via your workplace matching gift programs
Many companies, both big and small, may double (or sometimes triple) the value of donations made to The Michigan Lighthouse Conservancy by their employees, employees' spouses, or even retirees. There's no additional cost to you and these matching gifts make it easy to support our mission by providing a stable flow of support for our work. (Please ask your company if they participate first)
How Workplace Matching Gifts Work
There's no additional cost to you and these matching gifts provide much needed funds, as we work to fulfill our preservation and educational missions. Matching your gift is easy. First, just donate to the The Michigan Lighthouse Conservancy as you normally would.
Then, print off a Company Matching Gift form to take with you to your company. Type or print your company's name and address into the boxes as well as your name for submitting it. If you donated online, please print off and take with you or e-mail your electronic receipt to your company.
Now, go to your companies Human Resource Department, Marketing Manager or person in charge of corporate giving with your donation receipt and company matching gift form and ask them to have your company sign up to match your donation to The Michigan Lighthouse Conservancy. It’s that easy!
